New garden ideas
I like the contrast between the grass and something that looks natural and native
I like the natural border the plants create around the grass. This would be something nice for the front rather than creating a really sharp border or box
I like the steps through the grass. Thinking about this for the pathway along the house between the fence and the back of the house
I like the sunflowers. That's the main thing in this photo
Again.. Natural border between the "tamed" and "untamed" looks cool and seamless.
I like that this has texture and color to it. And it's not homogenous
I love the idea of a water feature, just not crazy about how delicate they seem to be and how much maintenance they require
I like the idea of moving water in the water feature
I like the juxtaposition of the brick path with the vegetable/planter areas and the grass behind.
Despite the fact this doesn't have any grass, I like the native plants that are arranged in a way that makes them look like tamed wild growth. It's natural, yet sculpted, but not overly so.
This is a nice arrangement of accessible vegetable boxes juxtaposed with grass and the tree.
I like the stone with the green grass or moss growing in between as a platform for outdoor furniture.
I like that this feels both designed and natural.
I'm not sure I like the stone walls, but there is something about the way things are laid out that is cool.
I don't like the path at all, but I do like the plants themselves
The mixing of natural borders with brick/stone makes for a more interesting design here
I like that the grass isn't just a square patch. It is broken up by the corner piece of shrubs and plants. Very interesting to look at
Like many things about this. Love the stone sunken in amongst the grass.. natural borders.. etc.
I like the way the brick is laid. It's not just all in one direction
Love the plants between the sidewalk and the street.
Another great example of something that just works right next to the street
Functional, natural and designed. All the right qualities. Not enough plants or natural growth, but the use of pavers for patio, stone for walkway intermingled with grass, natural borders for plants is a good balance.
Another look at the sidewalk landscaping
