I love your table and the slipcovers on the chair - like the little cloths in the centre of the table too.
Certainly, a farmhouse table with turned legs center leaves can work as well -- I've seen base tables of 6' with multiple leaves that could conceivably stretch them out to 12'. In some cases, and this is advisable, an additional set of legs would drop down from under the table at the center point to help support the weight and prevent the table from buckling.
