Pictures 5 - 7: From an overall perspective, I think it would be better to tone the backsplash glass tile in with the counter & the white cupboards (lighter rather then dark), if you use one colour glass. This is the closest picture I can find to illustrate this idea overall. Try to picture the granite pattern instead of the white counter!
I know we shied away from it, but if the light beige glass sample you have doesn't turn out to pull enough colour from the granite, it might be better to match the top cabinets & background white in the granite with a whiter glass tile as the main backsplash colour.
Pictures 8 through 13: I still like the idea of bringing in the greys/browns/grieges from the counter top & dark cabinets somehow. The next 6 photos show ways this might be done (with different colours of course). This picture shows two strips of contrast that pull from the countertop. A mosaic, as shown, may be a little busy with the granite but using your dark glass choice may work.
Picture 1 & 2 show an example of slate (on floor in this case) & bluish wall. Our choices were a bit greyer of course.
