The Lounge Room
Love the idea of an open deck on top of the room!
Like the vented window's over the doors or 'stacking doors". Also, we can use the short pergula trim (here in white) outside the room to mount a few ceiling fans that, once the stacking doors are open can help prevent flying bugs from entering and offer some cool breeze over the deck and partial sitting area -- really love this idea.
WOW! What a great idea for internal roofing, lighting, and with a vaulted, window paned center ceiling to make the room seem higher and get sun into the room! Killer
I love the stone work with the stark white jams and doors that close to the original Great Room. This could be done with a combo brick/stone (same as from the seat walls from the outside patio). Important that we have this type of enclosure from the main house or Great Room to assure we can close off the Lounge when we need to and have it secured.
WINDOW PANES!! This is what I mentioned for the West most facing wall for the Lounge Room and at the kitchen for the 2 single windows.
ceiling contrast and fans...
this is what I'm talking about with a single wall of stacking windows.
again, the stone combo on the wall which would be the common wall between the existing Great Room and the new Lounge. Combine the same stone from the deck with the brick from the fireplace....bingo....and love the wide entry ways from the Great Room into the Lounge.
Love the combination of color and trim with the ceiling!..definitely include this.
Love the stone pilars that trim the perimiter angles of the room. Perhaps brick them....! like the fireplace!
totaly dig the vaulted ceiling and open center window with the chandelier coming down! wow
ceiling wood tile and square texture/trim and ceiling fan
vaulted ceiling with lighting.
wow. Love the angled roof that ascends from the main house up!
contrast of the white and the wooden cross beams.
the stacking window paned doors from the Great Room into the Lounge are awesome. Provides opp to close down the room and pull drapes for privacy.
Idea to bring the stone into the room excellent. Take stone from patio and build it into the room and/or with the brick from the fireplace.
contrast in wooden ceiling tiled and colored with the square cross beams. Love the texture
again, the stone as part of the walls. Use same stone as used from patio to compliment with brick from fireplace ...?
Like the padded benches on the perimeter
Love the white crown molding. Makes the ceiling appear tapered and higher.
the idea of large open windows as depicted here are consistent with how I want the room to have 'open' free flowing appearance from the entrance -- either from Kitchen or Great Room -- through the stacking window walls
Love the built-in book shelves....that's a mandatory requirement.
totally dig the all-white framework and window vents with screens at the top of the window's. Thought: Have the stacking window's and the vents together. Thereby, if we don't want to open the stacking windows, we can still open the vents and have screens there for air circulation.
making ground level screened in porch with stone/ brick accents from house and patio. Awesome idea.
very elegant room. love the arches that trim the windows. Perhaps the large window panes on the West side could be diamonded like this.... nice black-out drapes.
totally dig the swing and double dark brown doors from outside to inside.
like the ide of 2 sets of windows -- 1) stacking doors, 2) top window vents over the drapes. so, privacy with some window for light or whatever.
Jen would love the bouganvilla valence over the doors as you enter the deck and patio from the Lounge.
definitely love the fireplace with the big scrreen over the 2 way fireplace.
recessed lighting...with ceiling fans and/or chandelier.
This has to be the coolest room of them all.....LOVE THE combo from the floor with stacking doors, then trim, then glassed vaulted ceiling! WOW WOW Love this
simplicity with the geometry of the ceiling is very nice.
like very much the storage left and right of the stone fireplace. Also, love the wood ceiling in the out room
Stone walls for the common wall betweekn the main existing Great Room to the Lounge.
really love the white pacia trim from the kitchen to the outside room.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Have wall area for a 36x24 family portrait with spot lighting
love the 2 tone and trimmed ceiling
Stone seat walls for the foundation that match the patio stone
panelled walls for the shared wall between the Great Room and the Lounge
totally dig this room. Love the ceiling in total...chandelier and windows....2 tone colors are awesome.
decking that borders the room.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: vent and screened windows above the primary stacked windows here....
like the storage and bench on the facing wall
very tuscan. love the contrasts with the beam and ceiling
MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Move washer/dryer to adjacent to bathroom in the Lounge and convert the current washer/dryer room to a mud room with cubbies and children's mud room
