My own kitchen cabinetry designs
These are some recent kitchens I have designed. Kitchens are the “heart” of the home so they need to reflect your personality & be functional at the same time. My favorite part of a design project is the kitchen.
Farm house legs add interest to the island.
This kitchen actually has two islands. One in the direct kitchen area & the other dividing the kitchen & dining room that serves as a bar & service area for the dining room.
Copper countertops are unusual.
This bar is a room divider, book shelf, & eating bar on the kitchen side. Lots of functionality & unique style. Allows visiting with the cook & watching TV in adjacent great room.
Appliance garages on either side of the sink house all the"ugly" appliances & give great style with lots of functionality.
This island was the ultimate in functionality. On the eating side you can see the tambour doors. Behind these doors are the household computer, & a small TV for the morning news.
This side of the island houses the cook top & all the drawer storage for cooking untensils. The raised plant shelf in the center blocks the cooking mess fro view.
This was the first time I used this in -the-window plate rack. I love the look & the functionality. I have since incorporated my design into some other kitchen projects.
The oversized kitchen island had a faux antique finish to mimic an old farm table. It gave a very large workspace as well as two sinks, & book sotrage at both ends.
The high ceiling beams added drama. To bring the lighting down to the proper level, I designed a custom metal rack to hang the "candle" style lighting.
Beaurtiful custom cabnets & lighting make this space really beautiful. The fridge & dishwashers were all faced in wood.
The eating bar in this kitchen faces the living room so that the TV in the LR can be viewed from the bar.
Another custom island with book storage.
