This is a wonderful idea. The other way to do it is to use colored photographs all with monochromatic frames
Let's talk to Ethan about designing these built ins for the entry. It is a great way to keep things orderly in a big fam and we definitely have the space for it. The open shelves at the bottom for shoes will be much more economical than drawers and fully-framed cubbies
I really like the simplicity of this one: clean
can be planned into the entry space and quite commonly is.
My preference is to have storage within the window seat for quick sweeps / straightening the house. This one is nice because you do not have to lift the bench itself (difficult and dangerous for sm children and their little fingers).
i like these tiles as well, but typically we wouldn't tile in the half bath as there would be a podium sink as opposed to a built in counter
Yolo colorhouse! great palettes
these fixtures are right on the money for the half bath
i really like these light fixtures as well. Restoration is a good place to start looking...as is Electric Schoolhouse
these are so great! cute
Agreed. All of these amenities are necessary for a good closet. Do you both want to split the closet down the middle and mirror those features?
visible shoe racks or concealed with drawers/doors?
Portland Closet Co. Keep an eye out there for sales...
typically, I really like storage to either side of the fireplace. natural place to have it. We do, however, have to coordinate with John on the size of the windows there...
Let's talk about the wood this evening. I know that Ethan has a good contact for reclaimed wood but if we do not plan for this in the beginning...the cost can be hard to figure in later down the road. Let's discuss locations where we can achieve this warmth.
me too! Excellent palette. I believe you both would be interested in looking into Yolo Colorhouse for the interior paint colors. I have a couple of fan decks we can use when shopping for other materials.
the fireplace might be the next place to study
we can achieve this warmth in through the cabinetry, the counter top selection and the flooring.
agreed. butcher block islands are a great, functional and beautiful way to go!
hum, the two tiered return (peninsula) is nice. Let's talk to Ethan about cost implications here.
That is exactly the spacing (between bar stools and dining table) that I am concerned about int he current plans. We will discuss that tonight.
durable and yet soft carpet for basement play
cozy cave in basement
similar condition but you would not need the entire glass wall separation and the tub would be rotated 90 degrees (long ways)
this is a little too open or un-separated but the shared tub/shower area is the same
This is the partial glass separation I was picturing
Shared wet space (tile)
Shared wet wall
Shared but full glass separation
Shared wet wall
coffered ceiling example (dining room)
white painted cabinets with stainless and black appliances. I also really like the herringbone tile here (midtone hue like maple)
boxy look of bay windows
siding color and window color
Siding color but with white windows and black roof
Siding color with these white windows.
note the siding and shingles
