Houzz is the new way to design your home.
Schwartz/Groot 604 Sanford Street Covington, KY
Like the continual use of the same tree and shrub- very contemporary
Like the use of built in benches with backs as a way of containing the landscape. Would also propose that the bottom of the benches could be used for storage- seats would be hinged tops
Like the contemporary look of the patio. Like the use of hedges to contain the landscape.
Like this fencing. Holes would be good for the dogs to see out of BUT would not necessarily be good for hiding garbage cans and other things we don't want exposed.
Garbage, etc. storage idea.
Carport and gating driveway- privacy- idea of maybe gating whole yard enclosed in some manner- so the dogs could roam both the back and front areas
Beautiful carport idea.
Sail cloth in back which we would slant more and use for privacy- or we could get a large umbrella.
Sort of an idea for the back gate.
Like this fencing look.
Like this idea for steps out the back door and maybe for the back gate. These could be slate or some kind of ground cover or wood.
Like this "awning," but not for the back-for the side...with the idea of using a plexi or cloth to cover the openings + have plantings growing over it to help conceal its real function (to make it look more like landscaping and less architectural).
This is a pretty conservative look but I like the lush greenery and the way the beds are edged and ultimately I would prefer a slate patio...This is actually a quite inviting space.
For hiding garbage cans, etc.
Square edges for patio. Like the slate to brick transition. Maybe use slate for front and back step areas.
Love the idea of giving the dogs a private area to potty.
Dog Peek - $25
If we don't have a more open fence, these Peek holes might be a good idea for the dogs.
A large umbrella in the back for privacy.
Some kind of glass awning would be great as it would let light pass through since we are already very shady along the side of the house. But this would be quite heavy since it would need to cover the width of a car- we could have several hanging along the side to at least make the length managalbe.
Idea for an awning...only not white and would like it not to be opaque as we need to let light in.
