With spring emerging and summer on the way, it's time to think about outdoor lounge options. No, not strictly the porch. Not formal outdoor sitting for entertaining the partner at your firm. No, the kind of lounging that recalls days of childhood summers. Of slouching down with a novel and iced tea under the sun or shade, not to emerge for hours. Not to talk for hours. And possibly with an imprint of canvas across your face from the unexpected but delightful nap.
This pool of photos shows true lounge spaces in all varieties of settings, from the urban patio to the sprawling estate. These lounge options aren't just beautiful; they are carefully chosen to slip smoothly into the landscape they inhabit.
Take a look — and happy planning.

By the way, I find loungers with armrests a lot more comfortable than those without.
