The 8 most popular dining rooms on Houzz (one comment)

View Slideshow
Recently I found myself browsing through the popular photos on houzz, trying to understand what makes a space much more popular than the other amazing spaces on the site. Take dining rooms for example...
One thing you can definitely see in all the popular dining rooms is the great attention to detail: the wall of family photos in the first picture; the chandelier and ceiling details in the second; or the unique wall painting in the third.

Here are the 8 most popular dining room photos on houzz, in order of popularity, together with some of the comments from those of you who saved them in your ideabooks:
Currently #1 most popular dining room on houzz.
"I love the family pictures at the dinner table. Looks like an Italian restaurant. Gives it a real homey feeling." (urbanliving01)
"A white table allows you to add chairs of different colors, thus letting you set the mood of the room ... and changing it at a whim." (nmakhani)
by Coburn Architecture and Interiors
"The design theme is brilliant, mixing 19th century details with modern and rustic elements flawlessly." (melissa)
"every single tiny detail of this interior is BREATHTAKING" (monica)
"I'm a fan of all the different styles that are mixed so nicely here....modern artwork, art-deco chandeliers, country kitchen table, mid-1900s chairs." (designlonging)
by Ken Levenson Architect P.C.
"Dramatic and amazing! I had the chance to see this room in person and the subtle detail of the painted green on green upper walls to create "shadows" is beautiful." (markahermogeno)
"note the chairs from oly studio... so, so unaffordably fabulous. also, the painting effect. i can afford that." (rosenatti)
Elegant Moss & White Dining Room
"I love the way these fixtures lighten up the room - literally and figuratively. Their airiness, along with the glass table, neatly balance the substantial chairs and the circular echo on the wall paper ties the whole look together." (kitpollard)
"Circular motifs have a very '60s feel. The shape of these bubbly crystal fixtures is repeated on the wall treatment." (audreypillow)
"awesome! Perfect for a retro modern
townhouse or apartment. I love retro so
this is really 'my bag baby!'" (melmo72)
by SHH - Spence, Harris, Hogan Associates
"love the beautiful vintage dining set and the absolutely stunning hand painted Chinese panels and artwork." (nicole)
by Dufner Heighes Inc
"The crazy hanging light fixture, the pairing of styles between dining chairs and table, the eclectic, yet modern feel" (deidramae)
"Keeping to monochromatic white makes dining an even more relaxing experience. Order here is kept in the kitchen by elements like the clean lines of overhead lighting, and the drinking glasses below." (txranchgirl)
by Mark English architects, AIA
"Those rafters are amazing! This screams big Thanksgiving to me. I have always wanted a super long table...but don't have the space in my currently tiny house." (linseyk)
"All the whites, the natural lights... but especially the pocket doors leading outside." (quietcoconut)
by Nicole Hollis
"Love this idea for a light -- playful. I have not seen it but in one or two places." (sohobecky)
"Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles." (urbanliving01)

They are all great but the first one is indeed the best- I LOVE the wall of family pictures and agree with urbanliving01 that it creates a homey feeling.
