"Mommy Command Center" Ideas
CEO, CFO, CO, mommy, nurse, household staff, secretary, teacher, nurse, accountant, chef, mail clerk, scullery maid... Moms have a lot of hats to wear, and this just at home. It would make sense to have a small (or large) command center in the house, so all these functions get juggled in a semblance of control.
This little organizer is fantastic. Being able to divvy up different functions into cubbies, and being able to label functions would make for a great "landing zone" for homework, mail, and to do lists.
Family Rules Wall Canvas - $40
I can foresee two boards in the style of this one. One for family/house rules, the other for daily chores, with magnet buttons for each family member, so I can delegate.
Chalkboard Mail Organizer, Large by In Order - $230
I like it that the whole organizer is customizable, for example with new needs cropping up. And it can be made from scratch in an afternoon.
Be they cookbooks or school books, I like having shelving in the kitchen.
Junkmail sorting station/phone book/coupon corral/homework station...
I like the printed grid behind the glass frame. It makes for an easily changed custom wall calendar.
I think this is really a small craft desk, but I like the organized look of it.
The home office nook is nice and discreet at the back.
These are ikea's Expedit-shelving units, stacked. That counter is from the freestanding kitchen series, the name eludes my mind. I like the idea, and the wall colour.

An awkward nook, that might otherwise go unused, put to good use.
