I'd welcome the possibility of using windows like these in various places to help bring more light into the house.
I'd like to use doors similar to this in several places to help keep light dispersed through the house. I'm thinking: the door to the powder room; the door to the pantry; the door to the guest suite and, possibly the door to the main floor closet. The standard options already include a similar glassed door for the front entry, as well as the entry from the great room to the deck.
For reference, is this about the depth of the laundry space as it's currently configured?
Hmmm...is that a pocket door?!?
This is likely the feel of the entry hall. Keeping in mind the entry door is glass, so light will make its way into the hall. But the floors will be very dark finish, and the walls very dark to serve as "gallery" space for art all the way down the entry hall. Because I plan to utilize the space that way, I'm not interested in minimizing the "entry tunnel" as I think you might have referred to it. :)
I could see having this -- without the sink...just the W/D with a folding counter on top with a couple of cabinets or even open shelves above. Probably all I need for laundry area.
Really like the doors :)
If the laundry gets more space, then this would be great...actually, just half of it. From the left side of the W/D over to the right edge of the photo. Perfect. :)
Kind of the dream...if there is such a thing as a "dream" laundry. :)
