Peek Inside the Master Bedroom, Guest Rooms and Baths of 2011 Show Home
The bedrooms and baths at this year's Decorator Showcase provide rich examples of the magic of an expertly designed home. Whether it be a space completely made over by color (or lack thereof); a master bedroom at once richly glamorous and a study in restraint; a bed that sways in the wind or a bathroom that'll transport you to a faraway oasis, the styles are impressively varied but alike in their desire to open your eyes to the transformative power of good design.

One of the most unique design approaches came from Green Couch, whose "Two Sides to Every Story" bedroom suite showed the power color can have on a room.

Designer Val Fiscalini's master bath feels like a calm oasis, fittingly named "Shangi-La."
The pewter concrete vanity top gives off a subtle glow. Organic elements tucked here and there contribute to the spa-like feel.

The tub from Sonoma Cast Stone is concrete wrapped in hammered and distressed pewter. A shapely curve at the bottom makes for comfortable lounging.

The Penthouse Bedroom on the home's top floor features a hanging bed that rocks ever-so gently in the breeze. Designer Cathleen Gouveia got her inspiration for the room from Otis Redding's hit, "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay," which was written on the same docks of Sausalito just visible from the room's window.
