grecofamily's kitchen ideas
We are remodeling a 1947 Arlington colonial. We have a 22 x 25 foot space for kitchen, dining, and living area, plus an adjacent sun room with a bathroom on the first floor. We want to create an open floor plan and prefer some mix of wood and stainless stee.
mix of wood and stainless
funky, shiny look.
Flexible use of space around the kitchen rather than confining all storage in the kitchen.
creative use of island.
Modern, cool look.
Matching woods, overall look. Would prefer a lighter wood.
Mix of wood and stainless, use of island.
Prefer this kind of double level island so people can eat on one side and cook on the other.
Nice neutral tones with contrast.
stainless backsplash, use of woods.
good use of space.
Sunny, cheery, nice woods.
Cheery, nice use of woods, smart place for cookbooks.
Beautiful, creative use of space and materials.
Stylistic use of woods.
Simple, compact, elegant.
Simple, elegant, compact.
This kind of dining bench could double as a couch.
A more sophisticated-looking diner-style cushioned chair.
Simple design, room for four barstools.
Basic concept that could work in our small space.
stainless, wood and color accent. Would prefer a griddle to a grill on the pro cooktop.
sleek and simple.
Would prefer a different wood but compact and cool.
Great for an open floor plan.
Sleek, cool, might be too dark.
backsplash tile on bar/island is nice but I wouldn't want to lose on storage.
Microwave in island.
island has sink, microwave and storage.
Other side of island.
Simple and balanced. Instead of the apples on a plate, I'd want a place to stash a countertop mixer.
Beautiful, if not our colors, open floor plan.
Flow might be hampered but this is a nice way to demarcate the kitchen.
Would want the cabinets to rise to the ceiling but this might be a compact design that would work for us.
built-in bench with formica table.
counter color adds impact.
unusual shape and style for an island.
wooden kitchen nook
funky yet elegant corner kitchen booth.
built-in banquettes in a corner off of the kitchen.
Other than the stone floor, this is similar to our current kitchen.
Interesting stools and use of woods.
