Guest Picks: The Perfect End Table
Kandrac & Kole Interior Designs, Inc.
As designers, we find ourselves spending a lot of time sourcing the perfect end table. It seems like it would be such a simple thing, but it is definitely not! There are so many things to consider: the arm height of the chair or sofa it is partnering with, the size lamp it needs to accommodate, functionality, shape (round or square), material (wood, glass, Lucite, metal) — the list goes on and on. We have used a majority of these for our clients, so hopefully our finds will be of help! — Kelly and Joann from Kandrac and Kole
This is our favorite ceramic stool. It's available in eight colors and is a great size at 19 1/2 inches high. Some ceramic garden stools can be pretty puny.
We have used this table over and over again for clients. It's perfect for a tight space and great for the person who loves magazines but doesn't want the messy piles everywhere!
We recently used this table in a teenager's bedroom. It's perfect for a book and a drink.
We love the versatility of nesting tables. We wish there were more on the market. We particularly like this one because the largest of the three is 26 inches tall, a typical arm height for a sofa.
Talk about personality! This table could be the inspiration for an entire room.
This Flip table from Currey & Company packs a lot of color and function into a small space.
This table has a pretty top with a glass overlay. It works well with short swivel chairs because the table is 28 inches high, so the arms can swivel right underneath the table without hitting the table and bumping the lamp.
The size of this table is great because it's petite but not too low. It comes in four colors, and we all know that a punch of color can make a room.
This feminine table is great for tight spaces and even has a drawer with a neat iron pull. It comes in several really cool finishes like white, spring green, coral and yellow.
This Paula Deen Lemonade Stand table has been a quick go-to for us several times. It's so adorable!
This end table is both great looking and super functional. It contains four adjustable, pull-out shelves for magazines, books or other organizing options.
We have never used this table but would love to! It's a serious conversation piece and would be so much fun!
This chairside chest has a nautical feel. The inset metal drawer pulls give it a sturdy look and feel. Several finishes are available, but we're really drawn to the "dolphin" finish.
This end table is not only contemporary and sleek, but also makes a safe, snug hangout for your pet.
A traditional drink table with a white ash burl top is very sophisticated and stately looking.
When you just need a spot for a drink or small item, here's the perfect petite table!
