Decorating with leather is not a new thing. As long as the hides of cows have been available for use in the home, they've been used to decorate the space in which we live.
For this reason, leather often has a very classic feel. Think of the comfy brown leather sofa that Dad sits in. Think of the fancy leather dining chairs that Mom wants in the formal dining room. This is how we often think of leather.
Conversely, leather may be seen as a contemporary choice. However, it's a modern choice that usually harkens back to that classic look. Leather furniture in standard neutral colors is the most common option for leather in the home.
What if we used leather in more interesting ways? What if we had leather walls, leather dressers, leather kitchen cabinets? What if we used red leather, paired leather with other fabrics and textures and even laid out leather-bound books around the home?
