There's nothing that looks as clean as an all white kitchen, which seem to be growing in popularity. Wood is still a clear #1, but white is making a push.

The richness of the dark wood cabinets and hardwood floors is softened by the stainless fixtures and light colored counter tops.

Nice colors; shapes. The cabinets "full overlay" and stainless steel give this offwhite kitchen a clean look.

The drawer and range are extra fancy, but the colors and style here are what stand out. Raised panel cabinets, tasteful but simple back-splash, and a soft cabinet color to complement the wood floors.

These cabinets might be bamboo, and their rich tones are matched nicely with the backsplash and floor. Aggressive choice for the countertop with the blue won't be for everyone, though.

Note the glass tops on the cabinets, and the difference between the island and main counter tops.

More ornate backsplash here. Dark red floors dictate that the cabinets be light colored (especially since the windows are far away). I like the pulls and the way the vent cover gives the whole kitchen some depth.

Note the relief work in the ceiling to really give depth and punch to the finished product.

This post and beam ceiling brings in rich wood tones, which I think work well with the yellow cabinets but fight the grey tones of the upper cabinets.

Note the countertop change on the island that matches the main kitchen palette. "Mini" cabinets at the top aren't usable (they are too high) but are an expensive way to get this look.

I like the island/table format in this one. Not a lot of of counterspace, except for this area.

It's hard to envision galley kitchens that work well, but this one does, I think. The light from above helps to make it feel open, even if the island may effect the efficiency of the kitchen.

The columns help to break up the space and divide kitchen and living area, while keeping it open. The beams above add character and depth.

The brightly hued stove and vent really add punch. This is fairly aggressive styling though.

The open dish rack gives a rustic feel to this kitchen. Cabinets of three colors are woven together to warm up the kitchen.

Classic off-white mix; note deep sink; legs on cabinets, stainless steel; shaker style cabinets with exposed hinges in spots.

Ultra modern, with floor to ceiling windows. Not so practical for the northeast!
