Molto Bene Studios One of my trees died and I am leaving the stump in the yard. Thought I would make it a table base. It is too small in diameter to leave without something on top -- does anyone have an idea for what to use as a tabletop? Will then put either a bench or a couple of outdoor chairs next to it.

Elizabeth Davis These types of tables are one of a kind and I think that is why everyone loves this style so much. Nluker my company designs and makes these tables. Truthfully the sky is limit on what to use with your stump. One of our favorites is to go to Home Depot and get (4) large industrial castors to apply to the bottom of the stump to make it easy to move around. (make sure the mounting plate on the castors is large for better support) For the top you can use anything from a glass top or make a stainless steel top, or even an old door with a piece of glass on it. Hope this helps!

Madison Modern Home We love logs! We found this eucalyptus log at a vintage shop hidden behind the store. The shop owners had been using it to sit on while they refinished furniture, so they sold it to us for $35. We just rubbed it with wood conditioner to bring out its luster. It's on casters, which makes it even more adorable to us!
