I've always been drawn to materials that are raw and rustic. Perhaps I have a little bit of "hippie" spirit in me from living in Boulder, Colorado early in my life. I especially love mixing in raw pieces with more tailored looks. It creates a space that you can relax in and doesn't feel too forced. Here are some of my favorite pieces! — Bryn from Bryn Alexandra
I have one of these coasters in my office, and I really love the raw, broken glass/rock look in the ceramic. Each coaster is unique, and the organic nature to them is so beautiful!
Some pieces in the Deconstructed collection at Restoration Hardware are a little over the top, but I do like this small slipper chair. You don't see the deconstructed, raw details until you look closely, and then they are like little, unexpected surprises.
This side table is made from recycled elm wood planks. The best part is that the top is removable for hidden storage.
This is one of my favorite ottomans. It's made out of a rustic burlap fabric. It can make a formal room feel a little more casual.
You can't get much more raw than this Raw Jade lamp from Regina Andrews! It's pricey, but it's oh-so-beautiful.
This lamp is so pretty, even though it's all chippy and old looking. It looks like an antique urn that was found in the ground, and it would add a ton of texture to your space.
These beautiful linen pillows have frayed, raw edges. They are feminine but rustic at the same time. I have some similar pillows in my guest room.
These agate knobs are a budget-friendly way to add a ton of personality to a piece of furniture. They are absolutely stunning in both color and texture.
This ottoman is so cool! It has a contemporary style (the iron legs) with an antique, ripped dhurrie sewed on top. Funky!
This pillow from West Elm has cut pieces of antique Kantha fabric stitched across the front. It's rustic but really fun at the same time.
These vases are very organic looking. They look like they came straight from outside — in a really good way.
Wow! These bleached turtle shells are so pretty. I would want to make sure no animals were hurt to make them, but if that's the case, they'd make a beautiful accessory.
This weathered tin bucket could have so many uses: You could use it for parties to hold drinks, or you could even store large plastic toys in it for easy access if you have kids.
These boxes are really unique. Look closely, and you'll notice they are stained bone.
I love the classic style of this chair, but it's unexpectedly upholstered in a raw cowhide.
This dresser is made of rustic, reclaimed wood and has a cool geometric pattern carved into the front. It mixes rustic and contemporary.
Yes, this is real! It's a beautiful, living piece of art. I'm sure it would be a complete showstopper hanging on your wall.
These crystal candle holders and vases are so pretty. They add a lot of glitz without being flashy.
