Bring the feeling of an outdoor cafe into your home with an awning over a window or doorway. That's right — inside your home. This type of decorative valance will take you and your guests to a cafe full of charm and style. An awning can be used in any room in the home. And there are so many types of cafes from a cute Parisian sidewalk bistro to something beach-inspired. Here are some ideas to get you started.

I can imagine this look inside a home! To create an indoor bistro in a kitchen add shutters on the sides of the window and top with the awning above. Then add a cute round bistro table and chairs. Use a butcher block island and open wine storage. In a basement do the same but use a few more sets for a true bistro feel! You can find these sets at garden and outdoor furniture stores.
