Lady Gaga. Need we say more? This visionary artist — who this week released her latest album, Born This Way — has inspired everything from headphones to ice cream. Regardless of how you feel about her music or fashion sense, it's impossible to deny the impact her style has had on the world of design.
Surprisingly though, it seems like the superstar has little interest in bringing her bold and innovative looks to her home. Photos released of Gaga's massive Hollywood estate showed a shockingly standard McMansion. Where were the sequins, gold, faux blood, and gothic twists? In honor of her latest album, we've put together a set of designs inspired by Gaga's eccentric fashion sense — looks that would feel at home in the Haus of Gaga.

This room looks like it was designed for Gaga herself. With the mod vibe, bubble chairs, and pops of color, you can almost envision her dancing around the room in an outfit from "Poker Face." The scattering of round ceiling pendants are another tribute to her bubble dress.
The ultimate bubble lighting fixture, the blown glass in this chandelier looks exactly like the plastic bubbles on Gaga's infamous outfit. A statement piece like this would look great in Gaga's dining room — but perhaps lit up with a pink or blue lightbulb to give it that extra Gaga touch.

Who could forget Lady Gaga's entrance at the 2011 Grammys? Being carried in a giant egg by four semi-naked men isn't something that's easily forgotten. Since her creative director explained that she was "incubating" prior to her performance, an Arne Jacobsen Egg Chair might be a good substitute between shows.

If the classic Egg Chair is a bit too bland, an Eero Aarnio Ball Chair is a very Gaga-esque nesting place for her to brood over her latest concept. (Although the Womb Chair might be a more appropriate fit, for those of you who've seen her "Born This Way" video.)

As evidenced by her "Bad Romance" video, and numerous see-through costume changes, Lady Gaga is a big fan of lace. Rather than having a cookie-cutter exterior, a lace-inspired facade would be a classic but definitively Gaga touch to her home.

| Perhaps Gaga's most famous lace outfit was the red lace dress, headdress, and mask from the 2009 VMAs. A cardinal-colored bathroom with damask wallpaper and a lace-inspired mirror is a perfectly bold way to pay tribute to that infamous get-up. |

If nothing else, Gaga is all about drama. And she knows what colors work together to make a big and bold statement. Black and white are a huge part of her sets, both on music videos and live concerts. This stark room, highlighted by big lighting, a sexy fireplace, and touches of Victorian lace, appeals to a more sophisticated Gaga style.

Gaga's performance of "Paparazzi" during the 2009 VMAs may be one of her most memorable. The end of the song, where her "dead" body is hoisted up into the air, was a bit foretelling in terms of a new theme in her clothing and videos: lots and lots of dripping blood. This clever little lamp could be a less graphic way of maintaining that design element in her home.

Yet another infamous Gaga outfit was the transparent dress and glittery lobster headpiece she wore after the last London concert of her Monster Ball tour. Why a lobster, you might ask? Why not? This silver and bejeweled hermit crab paperweight is a more practical way to keep that outfit alive.

It's only appropriate that such an unconventional designs be represented in the Queen of avant-garde's home. The light lace table is reminiscent of Gaga's lace get-ups. And much like her outfits, this table defies the concept of fabric as we know it. Made of handmade cotton crochet, each table is woven, and then combined with an epoxy resin, creating a sturdy but delicate-looking design.

The essence of Gothic chic, this velvet and wood-framed chair looks like it popped out of a frame from the "Alejandro" music video, where Gaga rules over her kingdom from an icy and dark castle.

While she's not a fan of fur, wearing raw meat certainly isn't a point of concern for Lady Gaga. A bizarre and slightly sickening concoction of raw meat strapped onto her body, her dress at the 2010 VMAs was a pretty horrifying sight that no one wants to see again. Let's hope she refrains from using any uncooked sirloin in her home's design, and opts for this kitschy light switch plate instead.

I was lucky enough to attend the Alexander McQueen Costume exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art last weekend which embodied Gaga style. This page reminds me to stop and smile - Thank you!
