Guest Picks: Sleep, Baby, Sleep! Blissful Baby Bedding
I have loved design and decorating since I was building homes with blocks, setting up dollhouses and rearranging my parent’s furniture. I was born and raised in rural Minnesota and much of my inspiration has stemmed from my parents who were notorious for buying “fixer uppers”. They constantly painted, built furniture, repurposed antiques bought at auctions, installed carpet, hung wallpaper and refinished wood floors, all resulting in making a house a home. Watching and learning from my parents, I quickly caught on and began re-decorating my bedroom over and over again. For as long as I can remember, I have been redesigning spaces in my head as soon as I walk into them. My enthusiasm for design and decorating hasn’t changed since childhood, and I’m passionate about sharing my talent...

I was recently hired to design a nursery. Not having any babies of mine own yet, I've been doing a ton of research on baby bedding. From bright and bold to neutral and modern, I've gathered some of my favorite finds. Outfit your baby's bed in one of these choices, and you'll surely be the coolest parents around. — Jami from Imagine
Sandbox Bumper-Less Crib Bedding - $192
I like how the bold, graphic skirt is paired with a subtle, neutral sheet. I also like that the colors are a tasteful blend of modern and whimsical.
Vintage Gray Crib Bedding - $192
I like the mature colors on these sheets. I sometimes feel like baby decor can be so, well, baby-ish and on pink or blue overload. This set is sophisticated yet still soft enough to put in a little one's room.
Woodland Tumble Nursery Collection - $34
Get back to nature with this Woodland set. Composed of natural colors and woodland animals, this bedding set is sure to calm any baby.
Aunt Bucky Lemon Drops Flannel Fitted Crib Sheet - $40
Bright colors stimulate a baby's senses, so these lime green sheets are sure to get your baby's neurons firing. Who doesn't love a traditional polka dot print?
Calypso 3-Piece Cradle Set - $300
Ah, the trellis: my favorite pattern of all. I love that it's made in a nice, neutral brown that you could use in either a boy's or girl's room. Pair it with pops of pink or hints of blue, and you've got yourself a perfect palette.
Leo 3-Piece Crib Set - $325
This fun and whimsical set has majestic seals, horses and camels parading around the crib. It's perfect for any little prince. I like the soft colors of this set.
Ben 3-Piece Crib Set - $325
Here's another animal option with lions, elephants and giraffes. This would be cute in a safari-themed nursery. I like the orange and aqua combination.
Jazz Baby Bedding Set
Here's a modern take on baby bedding with sophisticated brown and green harmonizing in a large dot and stripe print. I'd lean more towards using it in a boys' room coupled with some safari-type decor or an Indiana Jones theme.
Lime and White Dots and Stripes 3-Piece Crib Bedding Set - $227
Here's another green polka dot print, but in a more subtle shade. I prefer this subdued version over a bright lime green because I think it gives enough of a pop without being obnoxious.
Touch of Color Cloud Gray 3-Piece Crib Bedding Set - $232
I'd absolutely consider gray and white for my own nursery someday. I just love the softness of it, and I think it's super easy to infuse color with this neutral palette. It's a modern and simple aesthetic that is also a classic.
Lena Nursery Bedding - $19
Pink and orange is such a flirty color combination! It's perfect for that precious little baby girl. This is a great set for an aspiring fashionista with the most discerning tastes!
CoCaLo Surie 4-Piece Crib Set - $224.95
Take a walk on the wild side with this bright pattern. My parents were (are) hippies, and I can totally see them choosing this set if they had to do it all over again. It has a stylish, vintage vibe that would suit any flower child.
Banana Fish Migi Sweet Sunshine 3-Piece Crib Set - $117.95
Yellow and gray seem to be quite popular for gender-neutral nurseries, and I think it's a great color combination for those parents who don't want to know the gender of their baby until he/she is born.
JoJo Designs Diamond Gray & White 9-Piece Crib Bedding Set - $189.99
Bold graphics paired with gray and white will always win in my book. I just can't get enough! I think it's such a nice backdrop to any accent color. It's also gender neutral, so it is perfect for the parents who don't want to go over the top with pink or blue.
Zig Zag Crib Bedding Set - $134
These actually remind me of my old business cards. I chose gray and white so I wouldn't tire of the colors, and I chose a variety of patterns to keep them fresh and interesting. That's exactly what this bedding set is doing!
Cotton Tale Gypsy 4-Piece Crib Bedding Set - $175.99
I'm partial to bold patterns and bright colors, so my second choice if I were designing my own nursery would be something along these lines. I love the turquoise mixed with the orange. It's very tropical and cheerful.
Skip Hop Treetop Friends 4-Piece Crib Bedding Set - $219.99
Who gives a hoot? Owls are everywhere these days, and this playful print will add a fun, natural whimsy to any baby's bed. This would work well in either a boy's or girl's room and would add a lot of fun pops of color.

This hip set is right on trend with its tangerine color scheme and oversize polka dot pattern. How cute would this be with a sock monkey laying around or maybe some teddy bears?
