Bathroom project
Renovating a small bathroom. Taking it to the studs (it's in really bad shape) but need to keep costs down.

Similar set up to our bathroom with several elements I like. Light colored tile and sink counter top. Simple mirror over sink. Darker cabinet (though willing to reconsider). Seems like a tighter fit than our bathroom. Hopefully by shrinking the sink, we will have more elbow room in the seating area.

I like both the counter top and floor tile here.

Sink counter top - I am leaning toward the light, simple, only mildly mottled look. I think too many color elements will be too busy in our bathroom.

A towel "ladder" could provide the needed extra rungs. Will it take up too much space, though?

Floor example. I like the contrast of the dark floor as well as the progression of the tiles (diamond versus square).

If glass doors are too expensive or we can't find one that works with our space, we would consider using a shower curtain. I'm not 100% sold on the curved curtain rods.

Glass shower door example. Like the doors; don't like the idea of climbing over the toilet to get into the tub.

To help make the room feel bigger, we are considering glass doors for the tub/shower. We do not like the half glass set up. We could do sliding or split pull doors, but sliding doors seem more practical.

Shower niche may not be possible due to lack of usable space (will proximity to outside wall present a problem?). If niche(s) is not possible, perhaps a tile bar would work. Corner shelves are a last resort.

Shower niche example. I like how this one is uniform to the rest of the shower.

Shower niche example. Really too small but could do two boxes with asymmetric locations.

Shower niche example. Probably not possible due to studs/space limitations.

We would like to do a tile surround for the tub/shower but don't want to lose out on the shelving that pre-fab surround offers. A shower niche may help us get to best of both worlds. Tiles in this example are similar to what we would like (larger tile, light color).

Alcove with mosaic example.

There is a wood alcove over the toilet with shelving units and doors. Considering removing the doors, painting or changing the stain, and adding a light and a mosaic back-splash. Mosaic to match the shower cap.

Considering adding a mosaic border at cap over shower.
