Whether it's full of riotous color, orderly and tailored and green, or low-key as the desert, a great garden is a wonderful addition to any home.

We have a couple of really great architectural salvage places here in Baltimore. I spent some time wandering around one this morning - they have so many cool things that could make great gates with just a little tweaking and cleaning up.
We actually bought an old door with glass panes and we're using it as a gate of sorts between our front porch and side yard. It's perfect - you can still see the garden when you sit on the porch, but our back/sideyard is totally enclosed.
