Occasionally I get a wild hair and need to freshen my space. This does not mean that I head out for a shopping trip each time the urge hits me. I couldn't afford to given the amount of times I am stricken with what I consider to be "The Designer's Curse." According to my husband, we are never satisfied. Fussing with this, moving that, a little bit to the left, now to the right. You get the idea.
In an effort to conserve funds and preserve my marriage, I perform quick fixes here and there to quench my desire for change. Though I've never been a smoker, I think of it as having a stick of gum instead of a cigarette or a bit of fine chocolate instead of the entire blasted candy bar.
