Houzz Pet of the Week: Thurza Honeybunny
You Sent Us Your Pet Pics, and We Fell in Love Over and Over Again. See Why
We asked for your pets in design, and you killed us with photos of your four-legged chums hanging out in your homes and gardens. One of the highlights has to be Dousty (see ahead), doing her best rendition of a seal pup on a bright orange sofa. We barely got over that when you sent us many more, including a poetic poodle, a cuddly shepherd and this week's hot digital dog: Thurza Honeybunny.

| Thurza, 5, lives in Peyton, Colo. with Houzz member Jenny, her husband Charles, and 2 other dachshunds. So which came first, the dog's color palette or the room's? Pure coincidence, of course. "We wanted a neutral-toned, elegant soft ambiance with the mood of a spa-like retreat," Jenny says. After designer Linda Tomky in Colorado Springs helped her get the look, photographer Roz Otzuka right away saw how well it fit Thurza's natural coloring and made this photo.
The room is still a work in progress. Jenny promises to share more photos of her place and the work of Roz and Linda when they're done. As for Thurza? She finds the pillow on that luxurious bed a perfect match for her sleepy head. |
