Paint one of your ornate, old frames white, and fill it with cork for a bulletin board
the U-shaped bench!!!
This has a good feel, open yet full and cozy. I like the accent pillows, rug, ottoman. The white sofas are too white.
The arrangement is nice. I like that there is plenty of accent color, but in non-committal ways for easy, inexpensive changes.
I am drawn to this mix of furniture, and striped rugs feel like a good, casual backdrop. They add texture without too much pattern.
A little too white, but what about wicker as a texture?
What about back-painting the bookcases? And check out the cool hidden desk chair!!!
Good chair shape. I even like the accent chair, though it's not that functional.
Here is what neutrals with blue looks like. A bit too much blue, I think.
A lot of clean and contemporary with a bit of rustic as a great look, both warm and crisp.
There are some textured chairs.
What about a couple of patterned chairs? At ends of dining table?
Sidetrack--I've always liked the four club chairs around a table or ottoman idea. What about in the basement family room? Not this big, though.
This is the right balance of neutrals and color.
Another perfect balance of color, and just enough texture and pattern in all the right places. The one miss is the color should go to the ceiling. This is a great way to do a bold hit of color without expensive commitment. BTW, I love the texture on the ottoman.
Interesting mix and layering.
I keep being drawn to similar curtains; two-color texture, wrought-iron rods, rings showing.
