Houzz is the new way to design your home.
formality, structured height from low to high
I have same plants--but these are nicely arranged? Why doesn't mind look like this?
groupings of same grasses makes a better impact-though I have separate and individual that look disjointed.
consistent and simple--yet colorfull, with spacing between the items
fountain is framed in the back and front planting is consistent, low to ground--
notice slope area--uniform appearance
textured rock--instead of gorilla hair with tufs of grasses
formal spot across from fountain?
taller plants next to wall, shorter and flowering plant in front of it --same plant used at top of wall as below the wall
like the symmetry adj to the fountain--contrasting dark leaves, tailored
good way to add interest to a mundane spot--the garage
levels of plants--short in front and will not cover the fountain--same color on each side (purple blossoms on rt and lft)
plants used to define and break up hardscape and border it--could be used by fireplace/DG area
Nice tree with flowers/plants surrounding it and a low hedge --green in between concrete.
plants create a circle, consistent colors/pattern
like the palm(?) near the pool
like idea of artwork attached to fireplace --maybe Baccus or something
grouping ofVertical cypress or something near wall and fountain--to frame it
groundcover beside fountain--could apply to next to firepit
This looks sort of what I got--just more cohesive--see same plants --3 or more each ..not one of each variety. This would be an improvement of mine.
planters in front of pool; trees adjacent to fireplace
small grasses, succulent type of flowers, good for 1250 scott
strand of lights, fabric curtain
cabinets/lights over the island/setting
