What do you think of when you think of sunflowers? The American Midwest? Tuscany? Spitting out seeds? The best bargain in the Trader Joe's flower section? For many of us, sunflowers simply cheer us up and make us happy; adding a vase full of them to a room can instantly transform the mood. Because the first day of summer is approaching, and that's when The National Sunflower Association has its summer seminar, it seems like a great time to give these hard-working beauties their due.
