Joanna Yes! I do love small cozy homes, and this setup is perfect for the kitchen! It has such an open feel, yet keeping it fresh in a small space. All the white really makes it appear so much larger than it is.

Debbie Why did'nt the contractor make the counter height the same as the window sill?(or below window sill height?) (because it was less than "normal" height?) IF, one is in a historic neighborhood, but NOT on the historical register, the windows could have been replaced (my choice w/out all the cross pieces) vs contriving a way to make the countertop "lip"...so objects would not fall out the window!?

Fine Art & Portraits by Laurel What's the point of a wet bar? It was considered cool in the 70's, in a Hugh Hefner sort of way, but now it's just as dated as he is. Does anyone ever use the sink? Some clients inherited one in a home they built, and I advised them to remove the fixtures and put a nice piece of marble over the whole counter. Much prettier and more functional. Likewise, I think the counter in this apartment would serve as a beautiful buffet.

Debbie @Laurel---getting rid of the wet bar, is why kitchens have islands w/sink n water....I personally do not like the wet-bar look in a living room. Give me the whole bar! ;o)

CAROLE MEYER Fantastic kitchen....so open and clean looking. I love the way they handled the counters given that the windows were lower than the counter tops. It works and looks interesting!

Joanne Cannell Designs I think it's a great kitchen, given the space. The only thing I would change would be to use a quartz countertop instead of the marble for easier maintanance.

frenchdecor It looks very pretty, airy, bright, but (closed loop) eat-in bar kind of confusing in term of function. I prepare my breakfast in the kitchen, serve it on the bar (reaching over the sink) and go around through the door/opening to other side to sit on bar chair, right? And repeat this motion every time I need something to get, or someone has to serve me. If wet bar is just out of the kitchen (my guess because of small table in the picture) not too much use of sink, I suppose. Upper cabinets (under the sealing) are hardly reachable for often use, so I would do glass doors for decorative items display (dishes, vases...) and would add cabinet over the fridge. Agree with @ debbie regarding falling objects "out of window" and expect dirt accumulation on the seals.
