Houzz is the new way to design your home.
don't like the materials or colors, but it has all the elements we want: sitting area, fire, water, kitchen with eating area. big pots are nice.
Patio shaded by steel and redwood arbor with water feature.
Bar behind kitchen, sunken, lots of seating, nice fire pit
wall is really interesting with cut-outs (not in wood though). fire and water features are nice. like the squares for path.
like the concrete-rock and size mix
shelves are nice (not wood). like the chalkboard mounted on a wall --or some place that a child can draw.
Fire place is really nice...the seating is lame though.
squares of grass instead of squares of concrete?
while the pots and the grass variety aren't our favorites, we like the concept of pots of grass creating a screen/enclosed space.
wall with imbed fire is nice
metal cut outs are really cool and the lighting makes it even more striking. like the idea of bringing some art and geometry.
love this use of block at angles to create planters. use for a wall somewhere?
like the big squares and the cube with the pot sitting on it --they bring some interest to an otherwise plain front.
water is nice although we'd want smaller. like the river rock breaking up the concrete. makes nice lines.
like the water and fire structure. its a little boring --needs more plants that stand out and more color spread around.
fire bowl is nice but not sure it provides any warmth --not decided between bowl or a built-in fire place.
pathway with rectangles is nice as are the raised planters in background.
like the elevation and staggered pathway.
the light behind the frosted window looks nice. the closeable screen is pretty cool.
the zig zag is interesting.
the concrete beds and the elevation is nice
the bar/grill the is open underneath with room for seats
passing through the window? looks nice and clean although would likely get dirty easily
pass through window service
lighting on the bamboo, fire, good sized water feature.
garden beds & bocce/horse shoe court
concrete seats are nice and the fire is great, although don't care the slate tiles
really nice overall --metal wall, concrete wall/raised beds, etc
tall plants contrasting with grey wall
sunken fire (although a bit of a small area) interesting walls
