A wall color and extra long drapes, hung high, can make a room feel bigger and the ceilings higher. This room is comfortable with a masculine bedcover, but with a softer, more feminine pattern on the rug. I like this soft blue.

Again, the walls, ceiling, and trim are all the same color. This is the blue that I'm thinking of using. Consider using throughout the space for a larger, more unified feeling. Add color via furnishings (orange and blue complimentary colors).

Walls, ceiling and trim all the same color create the illusion of size and make the ceilings seem taller. You may go one to two shades of the same color on the ceiling as well.
