Houzz is the new way to design your home.
We need multi-purpose structures in our sunroom for seating, storage & sleeping. It's also the first thing you see as you walk in our front door, so it needs to be not obviously a 'spare room'. Dave also wants to keep the storage area hidden, so the area doesn't seem closed in. I like the idea of an L-shaped banquette-type structure. These photos are to help us design & build our own.
Nice thick cushion, low enough to not cover up windows - which we need. The light coloured base doesn't seem to close things up.
The cushions look to be about the right dimensions for sleeping. I think they are 30" deep. This looks so clean & simple.
A bit fussy, but it might be a good idea to have separate daybeds with a table in the corner.
This looks like it would be comfortable.
Nice clean lined modern base for a foam mattress. No storage though. Could it be modified so that storage is in the back half of the frame?
Open storage below for light coloured baskets - could satisfy Dave's requirement for 'open' space under the daybeds.
Don't like the smallish cushions as a base, but the structure itself looks nice & clean.
I like the window seat with the cubbies below for storage
Simple frame with drawer storage below.
This looks like it would fit the multi-purpose requirements - and still just look like a seating area.
Seems a bit bulky, but it's quite deep, so it would be comfortable to sleep on.
I really like this.
The area we have is 102 x 175 - this shows what a really long bench would look like.
Could just pick up a few of these & put them in place along the walls.
I like this. Not sure it would look as good when it's 30-36' deep though.
Just a window banquette with a lovely view
Looks a little old fashioned - kept this one just to show base options.
Another base option, minus the high back along the window wall - might work along the pony wall though.
Open space underneath seating - not really practicaly unless we have pretty things to store there. Would rather have hidden storage.
