Summer Color Combo: Turquoise and Lime

sooosally I'll take the glassware and the pillows. And, I just want to know, who has enough cabinet space to commit that much of it to displaying a glass collection? Certainly not me. I do love color, but these colors I would only want in small doses.

Katie C We are actually painting our living room a light but cool green right now and are planning on accenting with blue curtains. So we have a very similar color scheme. And Ive waited a long itme to get it so Im very excited!

ddem At every turn the news is so sad in the world. People are creating a cheerful environment in their home with powerfully happy colors. Necessity is the mother of invention! I absolutely love the painting (by the dining room table with the brown lampshade above). A modern take on Monet.

Gail Last year I fell in love with turquoise, I am not a fan of blue in decorating, but this shade is different. Though I will not be doing a room in turquoise I have been adding it to my rooms in accents. Crystals on a candleabra, picture frames, glasses, candle holders, etc. Great idea book.

ajcary Love these pictures. We have been trying to find the perfect muted shade of aqua for awhile now for our bedroom and its has been very difficult. They all just seem way to bright a vibrant.

Becky Harris ajcary, I know! I am pretty good at picking colors, except when it comes to blue. I seem to lose all color ability when looking at those little samples. Once I picked a shade called "Serenity" (Benjamin Moore) that looked subdued and calming on the little sample thingee. Well, my living room wound up looking like the bottom of a pool or a Tiffanys box, and I found myself covered in paint, with all of my furniture in the middle of the room, yelling "Serenity Now! Serenity Now!"

superkoolguy hey i liked ur colors, plz tell me what material have u used for hte color, i mean is it some kind of polyester color coating on lasani sheets or something else? what is the cheapest way to build such color combinations on lasani sheets? thanks a lot.

ellie48 Wow, Becky, the color combo is amazing here. As you know, I am working with a client with regard to this color way. I love the lime/wasabi combined with peacock/turquoise.

melrosssg We just recently moved into a new house and my first project was the laundry room. It was a dull beige, byt the time I was done it was vibrant and happy...I almost wanted to do laundry right then...almost. I used Aqua Spray by Behr. I loved it so much I used it in my home office too! And one gallon of the paint/primer combo covered both rooms!!

eliana1163 We are redoing our teenage daughter's bedroom. Have painted all her furniture black and added new hardware. Her walls are turqouise. The teenager that she is, she has asked me to paint her bed neon pink! She wants me to put a black light blub in one of her lamps because that will make the bed glow in the dark. (she has sleep overs all the time). Her curtains are pink and it doesn't look bad with the color, but I am a bit concerned since the bed will go against the window. Please give me any ideas or suggestions you may have! Thanks.

Becky Harris Hmmm eliana, this may be more of a question for Dr. Phil! Just kidding. I say, let teenagers be teenagers when it comes to their bedrooms (I'll always be grateful my mom let me put my beloved Duran Duran posters all over my wallpaper), but when she gets sick of the glowing hot pink, make her re-paint the bed herself. Oh, and make her keep her door closed so that you don't have to look at it if you hate it!
