Houzz is the new way to design your home.
Dark cabinets & white walls can work in a small kitchen if there's lots of light.
The positions of sink, stove, and fridge could work in my kitchen. Sink goes under the windows with smallish space to its left. Fridge is opposite the stove but farthest from Window (outer) wall. Stove is by itself on wall opposite main counter area. Having a pantry next to the stove means needing less cupboard space on counter wall.
Even without removing the chimney, i have room for this layout on the interior wall of my kitchen. With a sink in the corner, there's still as much counter space as i normally use. Putting the oven (or stove) here would free up more of the opposite wall for shallower cabinets.
Love everything about this. Would combine kitchen and dining room if I could have a room like this
Love the 2 kinds of light fixtures
I'd love this under the window in my kitchen, though i don't have nearly this much space. The look is right, the windows are the right height, the wall isn't quite long enough -- but the real problem is the back entrance and basement steps that make the left end of the outer wall unusable..
Love everything about this! Windows, woodwork, beadboard ceiling, lots of well-lit counter space... and the architects' work in general.
allows openness to dining area and flow of light in both directions, without sacrificing storage space and accessibility
