Sam's kitchen ideas
antique look, old screen door on pantry. Wood slats are interesting in moderation, but too much in this particular kitchen.
don't like dishes on display, but do like bright colors with wood. Could maybe achieve same effect with tile backsplash. I like the purple countertops and how they look with wood cabinets.
Don't like chandelier and stainless steel oven. Aside from these, I like something about the overall look, the way it all hangs together.
green cabinets are interesting but these particular ones are too much
finish on cabinets is interesting, but still not exactly what I'm going for.
older looking cabinets. Don't like the black and open shelves, but otherwise these are nice.
purple cabinets and molding around door. Upper cabinets nice, lower ones too dark.
beadboard wall and trim/molding
don't like the baby blue, but I like that it's bright and comfortable
too dark, but nice look with old wood cabinets and blue walls
Asian-style cabinets in back on right are interesting.
swirly background behind stove, but probably too much of a grease trap to be practical.
cool backsplash, like that it is funky, but this particular one is a bit too 70's for our kitchen
appliance garage and microwave garage
nice antique look, something about the overall feel that I like, although I wouldn't actually want our kitchen to look like this. e.g. don't like inefficient use of space and gray color
spoon hook, main idea is space saving things while being readily available. The problem with our current space is there is too much on the counters to make things like this useful. If our new design can relieve the counter though, this may be feasible.
utensil hanger, same as previous picture.
counter between kitchen and dining room (but it's too high), overhead shelf.
openness of kitchen to the other room
level of countertop between kitchen and dining room
old ladder for pot rack! Interesting use of materials, like the screen door from above. Can also be salvaged.
