There are no light switches in the house. Instead, nifty control pads allow the Franks to dictate light use and temperature. When they leave the house, they hit "away," and all the lights shut off. When they return, they hit "home" and the lights come on to the appropriate level
Three-D gypsum board. Modular Arts produces a wide variety of fiberglass-reinforced gypsum board panels. These panels come in tiles and are screwed to a substrate. The seams are mudded and sanded by a skillful drywaller to create a continuous effect.
The screen could then make cool shadows like this. I don't like curly designs like this, but I could easily love circles.
