A collection of stellar kitchens
Induction island made of marble. Sink with a window. Breakfast nook with chairs and a bench. This would a nice morning area on eastern corners.
Maple and stainless with a greenhouse window.
Mirrored cabinet doors.
White cabs and SS drawers match appliances.
Nice materials and clerestory windows.
Great window location near heat source.
Clean and simple. Lots of white and a basic farmhouse table.
Entrance at the kitchen.
Open shelves force inventory reduction.
Huge Boos chopping blick integrated into the counter top.
Cherry slab cabinetry with a modern look
I like the subtle color palette compared to the granite and bright wood cabinet combination you see in so many contemporary homes.
All colors seem appropriate. White wall and cabs are bright and cleanable (meaning they don't hide grime with shades of brown) and the dark surfaces for stain prevention.
Garage doors as an inexpensive glazed wall solution.
The white cabinetry and mirrored backsplash.
The kitchen has a great use of materials, but all the angles and counter heights are too busy. I'm sure the heights function well, but it's just seems unnecessary. The floating credenza with illuminated shelving is very nice though.
The article indicates the owner repainted the interior high gloss white to prevent the discoloration issues from the previous flat white. They claim it really brightens up the place, but I believe its makes clean ups easier as well. The drawers in the kitchen island seem practical as well.
Even though this is a warm kitchen style, it's not one we're looking for. But the functionality and efficiency is certainly commendable. All the plates are stored without expensive cabinetry and a granite island is substituted with a rustic wooden table.
This kitchen is our style. Despite the perceived hard-to-clean white theory, I believe white makes grime easier to see therefore easier to clean. The dining set alone makes this kitchen IMO. Plus, the high gloss finishes are easy to clean. It's bright, and not a stainless steel shrine like so many kitchens seem these days.
Nice open design with a fairly simple floor plan. I assume the entrance bisects the two rooms which prevents guest from entering directly into the living space. Nice.
The counter height windows on each side are great if privacy isn't an issue. Obviously this home has a private space.
