I don't know if it was my sister and I fighting over who got to sit in the pink seat at Denny's way back in the '70s or that I'm burdened by the gray Pacific Northwest "summer" weather. In any case, seeing a feature on a California beach bungalow got my pink and orange heartstrings plucked once again.
