Houzz is the new way to design your home.
This feels like home
gradual, and landscaped, with wide stairs along rear of home, and landscaping around entry
now there you go! privacy AND shade. This gets me thinking. Just like our playhouse, but for our patio, and possibly a parking structure as well.
This idea could be great for rear of home, in some way, to encorporate slope & an herb garden.
On a much smaller scale, a retainer with low bed for trees and groundcover could be very effective, especially with the right trees for a narrow space, that we don't want to rake. Maybe river birches, or narrow trees like pears, or columnar
green ramps to each side transition to lower areas, such as side lawn?
the idea of no retainer, and a green planted slope is not new, but I hadn't thought of it as a possibility for our small slope.
these gravel steps are interesting. I love gravel. simple. a snow nightmare? Yes. Best for less-travelled areas at our home, yes.
i never tire of mass planted ornamental grass. a great idea.
lawn as path, and ramp. down to side yard?
Finally! Steel could have a great use. A maintenance nightmare? I don't know.......
Another example of wide steps from house.
huh. A great screen.
To left or right of deck.
i heart these materials in combination. I'm sure the concrete labor is intense.....
