This print by artist Hillary Bird conjures up cozy feelings of camp-outs and summer vacations — such a sweet silhouette of a little girl and her friend, the bear.

Hillary Bird is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, and currently lives in San Francisco.

This fanciful fox print stole my heart — I love his little top hat and old-fashioned bike! Created from an original illustration by Lou and Boo, the watercolor wash in the background gives the work a wonderful vintage quality.

I am a huge fan of Marisa Haedike, the artist behind Creative Thursday — the characters she creates are so dear and personal. I recently fell in love with this Paris print, with the whole gang hanging out in front of La Tour Eiffel and a pink sky.

A beautiful print with a wonderfully affirming message from London-based Lily Moon. I can imagine this image keeping a child company from girlhood right through the teen years — I know I would have loved to have a print like this in my bedroom growing up!

Another print to love from Lily Moon. (I couldn't resist!) This one could be placed in a dress-up corner during the early years, then moved to a craft area later on.

Lacy and delicate, droplets of water catching the light... this photograph by Erica Lea captures the ethereal quality that makes spiderwebs so entrancing to children. Why not bring a bit of nature indoors?

I have a major weakness for letterpress (the deep impressions on nice, thick paper make my heart beat a little faster), and Sycamore Street Press, run by Eva Jorgenson, is one of my favorites. Eva uses a vintage hand-cranked letterpress to translate her illustrations to print using sustainable inks and papers. It seems super luxurious to me to have a big letterpress print like this hanging in a child's room, and the French title makes it that much more chic.
