Sixteen Perfect Mirrors
Mirrors have come to mean much more than the original 'looking glass.' They are now a part of the decorative scheme of a modern home. By using them, there are no dark, gloomy corners, no drab caverns for halls. There can be a feeling of freedom, light, air, space.

Yikes, I started out with a good quote that I cannot begin to top with my own words. The venerable Ms. Draper actually wrote the copy for a decorative mirror catalogue and titled it "Seventy-Seven Recipes for Mirrors in Today's Living." I would love to get my hands on that one and apply the quotes to houzz pictures, but that's not really how I roll here. Anyway, let's take a look at how the experts have chosen and placed the perfect mirror in a variety of spaces, shall we? Seventy Seven? Double Yikes. I've only got sixteen in me at the moment - please add your favorites to the comments section at the bottom.

This mirror says "Shut Up You Stupid Wicked Witch! I AM THE FAIREST OF THEM ALL!!!"
Where oh where in the world can one find a cool tin mirror like this? And how perfect is it with that crazy fish and lamp?
I'm so overwhelmed by how much I love this mirror that I cannot even think of what to say about it, just like when I get completely tongue tied around someone I have a raging crush on.
This mirror is small, but its intricate form makes it just the right scale for this wall.
This mirror keeps this bathroom from being too too too contemporary - the contrast of its traditional shape and ornamentation adds so much interest.
The circular mirror is so great against the reflective striped tiles. I like that its border blends in with the tiles - this space is not all about the mirror , it's about the tiles and the hot pink chair.
What better way to reflect the bright and airy shabby chic dining room than with a lovely shabby chic full-length mirror? That frame shape and the color are T.D.F.
I love that this indoor/outdoor space is enhanced by this unexpected mirror. It looks like an outdoor architectural element, like a window on a Greek revival structure (oh lord, do I have the genre right? You all know I throw those terms around without a good memory of Architectural History class - sorry Richard Guy Wilson!).
This very plain rectangular mirror is perfect in the modern space.
This classical mirror steps the elegance of the bathroom up one more notch.
This could have been a dark, gloomy corner, but the Moroccan mirror keeps the end of the hallway from being dead space.
This is some hot mirror-on-mirror action. Love it!
This mirror is part of the perfect mix of old and new in this bathroom space.
