Every modern children's space needs a place to sit for Mom or Dad. No need to settle for an ugly, over-sized glider anymore — there are now many stylish and functional rockers and gliders available to accessorize your child's room. All of these pieces can easily transfer into a family room after your baby needs are done. — Andrika from Nursery Notations

Probably one of the most comfortable modern gliders on the market, with great lines as well as multiple fabric and piping options.

Available in an assortment of dwell fabrics, this is a glider with a truly unique shape. More of a mid-century design to me, the low profile helps make this piece blend in with the rest of the nursery.

The same sleek look of an Eames rocker, but more comfort with a higher back and additional arm support. The chrome base has me hooked!

| I like this chair because it is truly an heirloom piece of furniture. Reminiscent of a vintage chair but with new construction. |

A modern take on the traditional wing chair. I like this rocker because it is extremely comfortable, and the shape and design are visually appealing in almost any setting. The lines are just soft enough yet structured.

It is amazing that this looks like a normal chair yet also functions as a glider and a recliner — multitasking at its best. I think this is a very interesting piece.

Nurseryworks had one of the first "modern" gliders in the marketplace. The Cole glider has a good price point and I'm a big fan of the bentwood base.

With a very low profile, this glider looks like it should flank a sofa in your living room. I particularly like the detailed nailhead trim, which separates this design from the rest of the gliders. To make this your own, re-cover the loose pillow in a graphic pattern to complement the room.

This rocker by Modernica is a copy of the original Eames rocker design. Beware that this is not a good rocker if you want something comfortable to rock your baby in, but it looks and works great as an extra spot for seating in your nursery or playroom.
