Houzz is the new way to design your home.
Love the built-in bookshelves
Millwork and especially windows and trim.
Arches, craftsman cabinets, pendant lights, exposed beams
Wainscot on the end of the island
Open feel - the big doors really let the outside in on nice days.
Plenty of prep space (though island could be wider. Gorgeous wood.
pass through to kitchen keeps it open while still defining the space. Would prefer shaker cabs, but the white theme is nice.
Love the framing around the window and the wainscot.
Interesting way to work a built-in breakfast nook into an otherwise very open plan kitchen.
Love the use of cherry, the custom island, and the pendant lights
Love the arched doorway, the crisp white bookcases, the starway (esp. the paneling detail along the side). The wideness of the passage between rooms is nice as well.
Love the connection between the two rooms - it feels open, but still defines the spaces (it's not just a big open barn inside). The paneling/moulding details are lovely in crisp white.
I love built-ins, and am more and more convinced that having a lot of windows around a booth like this is necessary. The pass through from the kitchen is clever as well.
Love the built-in bookcases, the railings and the crisp white trim. The built in seat by the window on the stairs looks nice as well.
Great use of the space under the stairs for a small office/landing place. Would be tough to use it as a home office - it's too central and too noisy - but it's a great landing/bill paying place.
This is something I love about craftsman interiors. The use of the columns and half walls between rooms define separate spaces (and provide useful built-in bookcases), but do so in a way that doesn't block the light or make the house house feel chopped up too badly. Also, I love the mouldings in the room and the traditional windows.
Love the arched exposed trusses.
Love the islands and the honed granite (?) countertops. The cabinet profile is great, though I would put the glass in the uppers or skip it entirely.
Love the built-in space and the columns - they define the rooms without breaking up the space too badly. The chunky moldings are also really nice.
Love the built-ins and the trim.
Love the abundance of wood, without it being heavy or dark. The details are wonderful - particularly the stairway railing, the divided light windows and the way the pillars meet the ceiling.
