lele smythe I'm horrified at some of the prices listed here! $500 for a globe? $700 for an old manual typewriter? $500 for a vintage office chair? I hope Houzz readers have the good sense -- and creativity -- to not pay ridiculous prices for things that can be found at flea markets! I have a globe I paid $25 for at Brimfield; I'm off to print out some colorful labels with my computer and printer...

Brandi quietcricket, I understand your concerns. I only wish I could pin flea market finds! But I do hope that the items I've pinned encourage people to go out, look for unique pieces, and make them their own. The globe is one example of an awesome art piece that I hope people see and interpret in new ways.

emily05mle I have a vintage editor's chair much like the Restoration Hardware one you posted. I like its history - but haven't tried it as a desk chair quite yet. That might be on the agenda for my next reorganization project!
