Space to feed the spirit as well as the body...
I love the texture and intimacy of this tiny corner...
This is a great dining "nook." I love the table, bench, and chairs...and the colorful glass globe chandelier contrasted with the feel of an industrial kitchen
Here's a nice...and well lit...small restaurant style dining nook.
This is a wonderful light filled dining alcove with its floor to ceiling windows that overlook the yard and garden.
This one is streamlined and ship-shape...
Here's a nice breakfast banquette...
This quiet and comfortable dining nook puts books close at hand.
I like the banquette sofa in this room.
They even put my favorite stripe on this banquette...
Bar stools, chairs, and banquette offer multiple seating options...
I like this curved banquette. Note the way the table and chairs occupy little visual space, not blocking the view out the door. The use of only two tones...white and pale wood...contribute further to making the space seem larger than it actually is.
A cheerful corner nook, pale colors, lots of white and light...this is a combination I like.
Another nicely done corner nook...I particularly like the windows and the tone of the floor.
I like the feel of this space...the table, chandelier, sky-lit ceiling, contrasting textures...I also like the way it is open to the kitchen without actually being part of the kitchen.
This is the quintessential old fashioned "eat-in" kitchen...It is what Grandmother and Aunt Blanche's kitchen was supposed to look like in my childhood.
This is a more modern version...The light and open space in this kitchen is stunning. I'm in love with it!
This one is clean, spacious, and sleek with its dramatic contrasts of tone. I love the windows and expansive space.
Bleached, weathered, and white-washed wood are always good in my book...
For me this is a perfect color and finish on the china cabinet, chairs, and floor. I like the contrast with the natural wood tones.
Perfect gray walls...the silver Windsor chairs are a nice touch.
I like the stark quirkiness of this room...its contrast of textures...it's sense of feeling almost like a teacher's lounge/employee dining room sort of space. I think I'd want windows, though.
Here's another good combined dining/library space...
This lovely table is at home with an eclectic collection of chairs. It would be equally comfortable in a more formal arrangement.
I love the colors in this room...both the warm natural and cool greyed wood tones...the hazy beach glass blue-greens...the clean white...touches of blackened metal...it's all lovely.
This sun-porch dining room is most pleasant.
Pleasant, relaxing, light filled...
Formal dining at it's casual best...I'm afraid that I really don't like the plaid floor.
The wood tones here are lovely.
I love the textures here...
Here's another true "eat-in" kitchen...I love the table...and I've always loved the idea of a functional fireplace in the kitchen.
I love color saturated walls...I might choose blues and greens rather than the yellows...
This has an old world European or Tuscan atmosphere.
This kitchen is flooded with light from the elevated dining room and cheery flames from the fireplace on colder days....
I like these dining chairs...the table too...
Light and white, eclectic yet minimal...I really like this one.
A tree house makes a perfect spot for dining al fresco.
This looks like a room just waiting for hospitality!
This is a more formal space, but still open, simple, uncluttered.
I love the natural textures and rustic simplicity...This kitchen, living, and dining space is one large open room with cozy gathering "pockets"...attractive and efficient.
Here's another favorite cottage space...
This is close to what I had in mind for our Windsors...the colors are fresh without being too sweet.
Light, light, and more light...oh yes...the room itself, and the furnishings are nice too!
This could easily be a multi-purpose space...dining, studio, school room..
This table is similar to one that I have had for a number of years that has served as both a dining table and a work surface in my art studio. These chairs complement it nicely.
I really like the built in "side board" that takes up the entire wall of this dining room.
Bright and inviting...
Cool...quiet, simple, uncluttered...I love spaces like this.
I love the smartly tailored vibe of this banquette and simple table.
