The color red is powerful, both in its appearance and meaning. In some cultures red represents good fortune, and when it comes to emotions it is symbolic with love, passion and even anger. In our homes, the color red is just as potent. Some color psychologists believe that this color raises your blood pressure and quickens the heartbeat. While I'm sure that doesn't apply to everyone, I do believe that red definitely makes an impact and leaves a lasting impression. It's a bold color choice that should be used with careful consideration but it doesn't have to be intimidating. Using red in your home should be a creative experience. Here are some ideas on how to make it fun — and 4 red paint colors I love.
