The kitchen layout keeps changing. Thought we would need to have a windowseat but prob won't. Like cabinets that aren't big blocks--unfitted I guess? May have a couple of different counter materials--like soapstone, butcher block, stainless steel. Will have a peninsula or island between the kitchen and dining room. Have an enameled cast iron original farm sink now, built in with drainer and counter, but I don't think I can save it, too chipped. Looking at fireclay farm sink, single bowl. Undermounted probably! but don't like the front wall sticking out like a tongue. Maybe cork or linoleum for the floor, or continue the wood from the rest of the house.
One way to do a window seat?
colors, mix of counter materials, open and closed cabinets
cork floor with pattern
like colors, mix of open and closed cabinets, mix of counter surfaces
soapstone, black & white, range hood hidden
soapstone counters, glass doors in cabinets, farmhouse sink, unfitted cabinets
Like the sink but think want single basin, like the window shelf, the subway tile backsplash
kitchen with some open cabinets--will everything get dirty? maybe only use a few for pretty things and cookbooks?
love mediterranean colors, like the blue and white floor with the black and white cabinets. prob not the style for our house
def need an exhaust hood but they are mostly so awful! this is at least less awful. how to make it look ok? too much tile for me, though
exterior hinge and detail on cabinet face, dark smooth countertop
like this style cupboard door!
slide in range with controls on top
colors--green tile, red knobs, same b/w color scheme as we will have
herringbone tile backsplash
integrated sink & counter, stainless!
