If you’re an animal lover like me, you probably fawn over your friends' pets and dream about the day you can take home your own. If you’re even more like me, that day unfortunately isn’t until you’ve got a little bit more time to be appropriately responsible for a pet.
Therefore I came up with a brief solution for the pet-less interlude: the animal statue (faux, of course). Okay, so they don’t cuddle or wait for you by the door or look at you with those puppy-dog eyes, but they also don’t shed, require walks or eat your furniture. Plus, there is no limit to the type of pet you desire! Check out the following finds; hopefully, for the meantime, they’ll help you get your fix, too.

Frisson Phenomenal ideabook!! This is exactly how I like pets for now; quiet, clean and not getting hair on the furniture :) I started writing which photos I liked the best, but realized I had things to say about all of them. So, let's just leave it at: "they're all chic and adorable!"

janbhan my daughter and I have cats...I have about fifteen, she has over 200, including one real cat. We have stopped counting now, and space is getting short...but every time I see a cat I buy it for her!

Pascale Love the sheep in the hall! Until hubby agrees to let me to get a real dog (I've successfully smuggled four cats into our lives over the last 24 years), I'm making due with my small collection of ceramic airedale and lakeland terriers. Having them scattered on shelves in my studio makes me smile and allows me to dream of the day I get to bring the real thing home!

Killyscheer, they are totally all chic and adorable - and I just love the sense of humor they can add to a space! Janbhan, that is an impressive cat collection! Collections themselves add such a personable touch to a home, and I bet all the different cats add such a unique touch to your space! Pascalelaure, I know, I can't get over that sheep. Good luck talking your hubby into that dog ;) - until then, your ceramic terriers sound too cute!!

ddem Very sweet! If you really love animals but just can't take one but love the fix of snuggling with an animal you can volunteer to be a petter and snuggler at the shelter. They actually have volunteers in my hometown at the shelter who do nothing but pet, snuggle and play with the inmates at the shelter. You are assigned to certain ones and then hopefully they get adopted. : ) sorry didn't mean to hijack your thread, I loved the photos!!! Great!

Tiffany Eastman Interiors, LLC I have to say its almost an addiction to me now, going shopping for clients and somehow leaving behind a beautiful animal figure and not purchasing it and finding it a home, can be heartbreaking! Ha! They can be beauiful additions, and if nothing else, brings a bit of humor to a room, making it a bit less serious....loved all the pics btw.....
