This is an area we are not clear on - the most important parts of the house for us are the backyard, kitchen and flow of the house. We want something interesting and unique but, at the same time don't want to be so far "out there". Carrie likes traditional homes (think white brick, black shutters, ivy) but, we don't want to go that route. We want the backyard to feel like an oasis, without looking cheesy or trying too hard.
Wide, do not like multicolored roof
stone & color
Tim likes the feel of this backyard, minus the palm trees
We were drawn to the limestone look and Carrie really likes symmetry. We do not know if we can have the look/feel we want in the back with a more symmetrical/traditional front. This may be a throw away picture but, we wanted to share the thought process
color of stone/stucco with the tile roof (although, i would want something not so varied in color). shape of the back of the house, lots of windows facing the pool and a little area jutting off for interest. I'm not sure about the arches as the supports hide some view...maybe something more narrow?
I like all the ivy, green
Summer kitchen side, maybe a fire "pit" instead of ivy
Combo of brick, stucco, dark doors....throw in some ivy
Mix of materials - stone, dark windows
Dark window frame, light surface, stone accents
