Houzz is the new way to design your home.
love the airy feeling, the wallpaper backdrop that adds pattern and a feel of tile...the space could feel too stark without this!
Tall cabinets are needed when the space is limited. Green with orange quarry tile = opposites attract. Appliances and sink bright white = a 1950s sensibility, worthy of June Cleaver!
The lighting performs without making itself a light show -- and that is a good thing in a small space. Also, the leaded glass window is delightful -- again important lighting would have stolen some of the window's allure. Wood placed to elongate the kitchen and draw the eye tyo the window -- was this a happy accident or by design? This is a hard working kitchen that looks sleek yet warm -- hard to pull off both! Kudos the designer!
Note how the cabinets are framed in much the same way as the window in this kitcehn. Also grey blue cabinet color is lightened when used on walll above cabinet level and surrounding them. this gives the kitchen a peaceful feeling.
Yes! Counters need not be at right angles!
Caesar Stone in blizzard looks fresh.
Deep, large sink...plants in the window.
God is in the details -- notice the gracefully carved support (?) for the cabinet.
